While emulsion paints offer many benefits, they do have some limitations:
- Not suitable for all surfaces – They do not adhere well to metal, wood, or glossy surfaces without proper priming.
- Limited moisture resistance – Although some emulsions have moisture-resistant properties, they may not be ideal for areas with constant water exposure, such as bathrooms or kitchens.
- May require multiple coats – Light or highly absorbent surfaces may need extra coats to achieve a uniform finish.
- Not as glossy as oil-based paints – If a high-gloss or polished look is required, oil-based paints or enamels may be a better choice.
